Linda Dew, M.D. FRCPC

Dr. Linda Dew is the most recent addition to the Radiology staff of Bucktown Open MRI, Joliet Open MRI, South Suburban Open MRI of Orland, Bloomingdale Open MRI, and Open MRI of Olympia Fields. Dr. Dew brings with her valuable expertise in musculoskeletal, body, and cardiovascular MR imaging, as well as extensive experience interpreting both high field and Open MRI systems.

Dr. Dew was born and raised in Saskatchewan, Canada, and is fluent in both English and  French. She attended the University of Saskatchewan, where she earned her M.D. (1981) degree. Following a rotating internship at McGill University in Montreal, she served as a Chief Medical Officer for Norwegian Cruise Lines, traveling throughout the Caribbean. In 1984 she returned to McGill, where she completed a four-year residency in Diagnostic Radiology, followed by a one-year fellowship in cross-sectional imaging at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Dew received her board certification in Diagnostic Radiology in 1988.

After completing her training, Dr. Dew joined the staff at Rush Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago, where she was appointed Assistant Professor of Radiology and Body MRI at Rush Medical College. In 1994, she then joined the staff at Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington, Illinois, where she served as both Deputy Departmental Chairperson and Medical Director for four outpatient MRI centers. During her tenure at Good Shepherd, Dr. Dew also served as Chairperson of the Information Technology Committee for the hospital. Dr. Dew has both published and lectured on a variety of topics in the field of clinical MRI, and has always enjoyed developing close working relationships with her referring physicians.
